The Town Council provides:-

  • Administration support and help to Allotment Associations
  • Maintenance of fencing and roadways
  • Security
  • Water
  • Allotment Competition
  • Membership of the National Society of Allotment and Gardeners
  • Provision of Allotments to schools as part of the National Curriculum and Agenda 21

Annual Local Authority Allotment Competition

Spennymoor Town Council has been awarded runner up in Category D of the 2007/08 National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners competition. This category is aimed at Local Authorities with a population of under 30,000 and is designed to assess interest, assistance and encouragement Local Authorities give allotment holders and leisure gardeners within their Parish.
